Understanding the way betting takes place in a craps casino game is an essential part of your success. There are several ways to place a bet and you should become acquainted with some of the main ones. For instance, one of the first bets to place is what is known as a “Pass Line Bet”. Basically, you are betting on the outcome of the shooter’s first roll of the dice (known as the “come out roll”). If the shooter throws the numbers 7 or 11 and that is what you have bet on, you are an instant winner. However, if you bet on the numbers 2, 3 or 12, you are an instant loser!
In general, craps rules state that the numbers 7 or 11 must be thrown before a winner can be declared. Before these numbers are reached, you can place several types of bets, including “Don’t Pass Line Bets”, “Come Bets” and “Don’t Come Bets”.
